GMC, an American SUV manufacturer distributed in Australia by GMSV, has unveiled the pricing and standard specifications for the Yukon Denali large SUV. Priced at $169,990 before on-road costs, the Yukon Denali will be available in a single Denali grade for the first time in Australia.
The Yukon Denali boasts an eight-seat capacity and is equipped with a V8 engine, setting it apart in the Australian market. Competing with models like the Nissan Patrol, Lexus LX, and BMW X7, the Yukon Denali is set to make its way to Australian shores in the second quarter of 2025, with orders currently open.
Under the hood, the GMC Yukon Denali houses a 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine, generating 313kW of power and 624Nm of torque, similar to the Chevrolet Silverado. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and featuring “Dynamic Fuel Management,” the Yukon Denali offers a part-time four-wheel-drive system and robust towing capabilities exceeding 3500kg.
The interior of the Yukon Denali is packed with high-end features, including a 16.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, 11-inch digital instrument cluster, 15-inch head-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, and various comfort amenities like heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic power sunroof.
Safety is a top priority in the Yukon Denali, with a suite of advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, 360-degree camera, lane change alert with blind spot monitoring, and trailer sway control, among others. While an official ANCAP rating is not anticipated, the Yukon Denali is designed to offer comprehensive safety measures as standard.
With a price tag of $169,990 before on-road costs, the Yukon Denali brings a blend of power, luxury, and safety to the Australian SUV market. As the only eight-seat SUV featuring a V8 engine in its class, the Yukon Denali aims to cater to drivers seeking a premium and spacious driving experience.
