The 2025 GMC Yukon Denali is set to make waves in the SUV market with its confirmed braked towing capacity exceeding 3500kg, making it the SUV with the highest towing capacity currently available in Australia. This announcement solidifies the Yukon Denali as a formidable contender in the large SUV segment.
Priced at $174,990 (RRP), this three-row, eight-seater SUV is equipped with a 6.2-litre EcoTec3 V8 engine that generates an impressive 313kW and 624Nm of torque. Its towing capacity is rated at 3628kg, outshining its key rivals like the Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series, Nissan Patrol, Ford Everest, and Isuzu MU-X, which all offer a braked towing capacity of 3500kg.
Jess Bala, the Managing Director of General Motors Australia and New Zealand, emphasized the significance of towing capacity for customers and highlighted the Yukon’s unrivaled status in the region. The V8 engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and features Dynamic Fuel Management for enhanced fuel efficiency.
The Denali boasts a spacious interior with luxurious features such as heated and ventilated front seats, a 16.8-inch infotainment display with wireless connectivity, a premium Bose sound system, and advanced driver assistance technologies like adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. It also includes a 360-degree camera system for added safety.
Measuring 5330mm in length, 2058mm in width, and 1943mm in height, the Yukon Denali offers a wheelbase of 3071mm and a cavernous 3480 litres of cargo space with the rear seats folded. Its Active Response 4WD system incorporates electronic limited-slip differential and a two-speed transfer case for optimal off-road performance.
The GMC Yukon Denali’s right-hand-drive conversion is in progress at GMSV’s Victorian facility, with the first remanufactured vehicle already in the pipeline for customer delivery. The SUV’s impressive towing capacity, coupled with its luxurious features and robust V8 engine, positions it as a top choice for buyers seeking a premium SUV with exceptional towing capabilities.
As the automotive landscape evolves, the GMC Yukon Denali sets a new benchmark for towing capacity in the SUV segment, catering to the needs of customers who prioritize both performance and functionality in their vehicles. With its blend of power, luxury, and versatility, the Yukon Denali is poised to make a lasting impression in the Australian market.
