Ford Performance has announced the line-up for the upcoming Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational event at Circuit de la Sarthe. The event will feature 40 drivers, including previous champions Robert Noaker and Alex Bachoura, alongside the six Ford Performance Junior Team drivers.
Among the Ford Junior Team drivers are Americans Jenson Altzman, Sam Paley, Erik Evans, Canadian Marco Signoretti, and Belgian Nathan Vanspringel. This event marks the first time all six Ford Juniors will compete head-to-head.
Adding to the excitement, six high-profile drivers from outside the Mustang Challenge will participate in the new Dark Horse Stars category. This includes Sir Chris Hoy, a decorated Olympian and Le Mans participant, who will drive for charity to raise awareness for prostate cancer research.
Another notable participant is Tanner Foust, a rallycross and Formula Drift champion, who will represent Formula Drift alongside Chelsea DeNofa, the 2023 Formula Drift USA champion.
Actor Frankie Muniz, known for his role in NASCAR and Mustang Challenge, will return to the series amidst his Craftsman Truck Series commitments. Additionally, Ford Motor Company President and CEO, Jim Farley, will join the event, emphasizing his dedication to racing and the importance of the sport to Ford.
The Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational will feature two 45-minute races on June 13 and 14, streamed live on the Ford Performance YouTube Channel.
