Mitsubishi has revealed its plans to launch the 2025 Outlander in the United States on February 24. The updated model boasts a redesigned center console, fresh color options, and a Yamaha audio system. In addition to interior enhancements, the facelifted Outlander will showcase subtle styling revisions and an improved suspension setup.
The facelifted Outlander was initially unveiled in October, and its American premiere is set for February 24, with deliveries to follow shortly after. While specific details are being kept under wraps, Mitsubishi has shared three images of the updated interior which features repositioned cup holders and new color choices.
Aside from the interior upgrades, the 2025 Outlander is expected to offer enhanced features and the introduction of a Yamaha audio system along with SiriusXM’s 360L satellite-streaming service. The model will also see styling tweaks and improved driving dynamics compared to its predecessor.
Although full specifications are yet to be revealed, the US version of the 2025 Outlander is likely to mirror the European variant. This suggests minor changes to the grille, lighting elements, color options, bumpers, seats, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels.
Significant updates are anticipated beneath the surface, particularly for the plug-in hybrid version, which will receive a larger 22.7 kWh battery pack, an increased fuel tank capacity, revised suspension, new tires, and a power boost to 302 hp.
The 2024 Outlander, priced from $28,395, is Mitsubishi’s top-selling model in the US, with 11,138 units sold in the third quarter, including 2,279 plug-in hybrids. However, the updated PHEV variant is not expected to reach American shores until the 2026 model year.
Mitsubishi’s decision to refresh the Outlander aligns with the brand’s strategy to stay competitive in the crossover segment, where innovation and technological advancements are key drivers of consumer interest. The company’s focus on enhancing both the design and performance of the Outlander reflects a broader trend in the automotive industry towards sustainable mobility solutions.
With the anticipated launch of the 2025 Outlander in the US, Mitsubishi aims to cater to environmentally conscious consumers seeking a blend of efficiency, style, and advanced features in a popular crossover package. The facelifted Outlander represents a step forward for Mitsubishi as it continues to evolve its product lineup to meet the changing demands of the market.
