In a significant display of consumer interest, Mazda’s mid-size SUV, the EZ-60, has garnered over 26,000 pre-orders following its unveiling at the 2025 Chongqing Auto Show. This model, a product of Mazda’s collaboration with Changan Auto, debuted globally at Auto Shanghai before making its regional premiere at the auto show.
The EZ-60 has captured the attention of the market, particularly appealing to younger urban demographics, with 76% of pre-orders coming from individuals aged between 25 and 40. Notably, 71% of these orders originate from first- and second-tier cities, reflecting a strong urban appeal for the SUV.
During the Chongqing Auto Show, Changan Mazda showcased the EZ-60’s cutting-edge features, including a groundbreaking 100-inch naked-eye 3D head-up display (HUD) with eye-tracking technology. This innovative HUD is tailored for navigating complex urban landscapes like Chongqing’s multi-level interchanges and is complemented by a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system.
Adding to its allure, the EZ-60 boasts a 4nm smart cockpit chip that enables seamless access to a myriad of in-car functions. The vehicle’s interior is further enhanced by a 26.45-inch 5K floating display with adaptive brightness control, ensuring a premium driving experience.
Potential buyers can secure their EZ-60 through a pre-order program requiring a nominal deposit, with the amount gradually increasing until delivery. This deposit, fully deductible from the final purchase price, can be made via Changan Mazda’s official channels, including their website, app, mini program, or authorized dealers.
Additionally showcased at the event was the Mazda EZ-6 Sport Edition, featuring distinctive design elements such as black exterior accents, forged wheels, red brake callipers, and a luxurious suede interior with vibrant red stitching. The Sport Edition, available in four trim levels starting at 161,800 yuan (approximately 22,300 USD), embodies Mazda’s commitment to blending style with performance.
Changan Mazda also introduced the CX-5 Onyx Edition, continuing their trend of offering models with blacked-out aesthetics. The company revealed plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup, emphasizing a fusion of electrification with Mazda’s signature driving dynamics.
