Lamborghini is setting its sights on achieving record sales in Australia, with the luxury Italian brand gaining momentum despite economic challenges. The company’s Asia-Pacific regional director, Francesco Scardaoni, highlighted the growing significance of the Australian market, ranking it as the fourth largest in the region. Sales figures have been on the rise, with Lamborghini selling 214 cars in Australia by September, marking a significant increase compared to the previous year.
The star of Lamborghini’s showcase in Sydney was the hybrid Urus SE, priced at around $500,000, which the company views as a groundbreaking addition to its lineup. The Urus model has been particularly popular, with a nearly 58% increase in sales recorded in 2024 compared to the previous year. This success has fueled Lamborghini’s optimism for continued growth, especially with the impending launch of new models that have garnered substantial interest.
One of the eagerly anticipated models is the Lamborghini Revuelto, a powerful V12 coupe generating 757kW of power. The brand’s confidence in the Revuelto is matched by its excitement for the Temerario, a new addition to the Huracan family set to redefine its segment. Lamborghini plans to unveil the Temerario officially in Australia in February 2025, followed by customer deliveries of the Urus SE starting in April of the same year.
Looking ahead, Lamborghini is preparing to introduce its first all-electric model, the Lanzador, signaling the brand’s commitment to electrification. The Lanzador is designed as a high-performance four-seater fastback with a targeted cruising range of 480km on a single charge. With a power output of 1000kW, this electric offering represents Lamborghini’s foray into the realm of ultra-GT vehicles.
Francesco Scardaoni emphasized Lamborghini’s strategic approach to diversifying its product portfolio, catering to evolving consumer demands and technological advancements. The brand’s expansion into electrification aligns with broader industry trends towards sustainability and innovation, positioning Lamborghini as a frontrunner in the luxury automotive market.
As Lamborghini continues to make waves in Australia and globally, the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering cutting-edge performance remains unwavering. With a strong lineup of models on the horizon, including the Temerario, Urus SE, and Lanzador, Lamborghini is poised to captivate enthusiasts and redefine the automotive landscape with its blend of luxury, power, and innovation.
