Kemal Curic, a seasoned designer with a background in Lincoln, has been appointed as the new head of design for Ford Performance Vehicles. Hailing originally from Sarajevo and raised in Germany and Croatia, Curic’s passion for American Muscle Cars and automotive design traces back to his early years. His educational journey includes a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design and a Master’s degree in Transportation Design, paving the way for his career at Ford of Europe in 2003.
During his tenure at Ford, Curic contributed significantly to various models such as the Fiesta, Mondeo, and Kuga before relocating to Dearborn, USA, to work on the iconic 2015 Mustang. His career milestones include serving as the Exterior Design Manager for the Lincoln Continental in 2013, followed by his role as Chief Designer for the Aviator and Corsair models. In 2019, he assumed the position of Head of Design at Lincoln, where he spearheaded successful projects like the China Zephyr and the Nautilus, as well as the latest Navigator.
In his new leadership role at Ford Performance, Curic is tasked with enhancing the visual appeal of models like the Mustang and Ranger Raptor. His rich experience and proven track record in automotive design position him well to drive innovation and elevate the design language of Ford Performance Vehicles to new heights.
