Kemal Curic Appointed Head of Ford Performance Design

Kemal Curic has been appointed as the new head of Ford Performance Design, transitioning from his previous role as the head of Lincoln design. Hailing from Sarajevo and raised in Germany and Croatia, Curic’s passion for American Muscle Cars and automotive design ignited at a young age. His educational journey led him to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design and a Master’s degree in Transportation Design, paving the way for his career at Ford of Europe in 2003. During his tenure, he contributed to the design of popular models like the Fiesta, Mondeo, and Kuga before relocating to Dearborn, USA, to work on the iconic 2015 Mustang.

In 2013, Curic assumed the position of Exterior Design Manager for the Lincoln Continental, later becoming the Chief Designer for the Aviator and Corsair models. His remarkable work extended to successful cars like the China Zephyr and the Nautilus, along with overseeing the development of the latest Navigator. Transitioning to his most recent role as the Head of Design for Lincoln in 2019, Curic has consistently showcased his talent and expertise in the automotive design realm.

Now, as the head of Ford Performance Design, Curic’s responsibilities include enhancing the styling of esteemed models such as the Mustang and Ranger Raptor. His wealth of experience and notable contributions to the automotive industry positions him as a valuable asset in further elevating the design language and performance aesthetics of Ford’s vehicles. This strategic appointment underscores Ford’s commitment to innovation and excellence in design, setting the stage for exciting developments in the realm of performance vehicles under Curic’s leadership.
