Peter Tsekenis’s ANMLXY Falcon is a force to be reckoned with, boasting an impressive 1060hp from its 462ci Clevor engine. This powerhouse of a small-block has proven its mettle on the street, clocking an impressive 8.44-second quarter-mile time without any forced induction. BK Race Engines, led by Bill Kaglatzis, took on the challenge of fine-tuning this beast for the demanding Drag Challenge event.
After two years of intense racing, Peter decided to test the limits of his machine on the street before a much-needed overhaul. Despite initial reservations, the ANMLXY Falcon proved its street credentials by completing a 3000km journey with flying colors. The valvetrain, with its 1070lb spring pressure and over an inch of valve lift, held up admirably during the street tests, showcasing the engine’s resilience.
However, the team encountered higher-than-desired oil temperatures during street trials, prompting a switch to a dry-sump system for improved cooling efficiency. Bill Kaglatzis’s approach to achieving over 1000hp with a small-block Ford involved meticulous engine building, utilizing top-notch components like a Dart Windsor block, Callies crank, Oliver rods, and Diamond pistons to create a high-compression 462ci powerhouse.
The engine’s internals, including a Bullet camshaft, CID SC2 heads, and bespoke components like a CID intake manifold and APD carburetor, were meticulously selected and tested to deliver optimal performance on E85 fuel for street use and VP Racing C85 at the track. The collaboration with APD on refining the carburetor showcased the dedication to extracting every ounce of power from this potent setup.
Having honed the engine’s capabilities through rigorous testing and development, the BK Race Engines team aims to conquer the Drag Challenge with the ANMLXY Falcon. The relentless pursuit of performance and reliability underscores the dedication and expertise poured into crafting this exceptional street machine.
As the automotive landscape evolves, custom engine builders like BK Race Engines continue to push the boundaries of what is achievable with traditional powerplants. The fusion of cutting-edge technology, expert craftsmanship, and a passion for performance culminates in creations like Peter Tsekenis’s ANMLXY Falcon, a testament to the ingenuity and skill prevalent in the automotive aftermarket industry.
