Red CentreNATS 11, presented by LMCT+, is gearing up for an exciting run from 5th to 7th September in Alice Springs. This year promises a host of new features and upgrades to elevate the experience for both participants and spectators.
One of the major highlights for entrants is the extension of the cruising ‘red zone’ to include all major caravan parks, allowing participants to showcase their custom cars across various locations, including the Alice Springs Inland Dragway and Lasseters Centre of Entertainment.
Lasseters will take on a more prominent role this year, serving as the central hub for Red CentreNATS activities. The venue will host The Shed car display indoors, adding a touch of glamour with illuminated showcases and a vibrant show ‘n’ shine event.
Moreover, Lasseters will be the site for curated displays featuring drag cars, burnout vehicles, live music, the Mulletfest, and the Podium Party, transforming the area into a miniature MotorEx event that brings together car enthusiasts from around Australia.
Among the new additions for 2025 are dirt drags, roll racing, and the Jetcor Bike Show, complementing the existing lineup of events such as the Yeperenye Street Parade, Pro Burnout Series, powerskids, and drag racing competitions.
The introduction of dirt drags at the National Road Transport Museum will offer a laid-back racing experience with plenty of grudge matches and adrenaline-pumping moments.
Additionally, the expansion of the ‘red zone’ allows approved permit holders to cruise seamlessly from caravan parks to event locations and even into town, eliminating the need for car trailers and enhancing the overall experience for participants.
Attendees can also look forward to the Desert Nationals drag racing event on Wednesday, 3rd September, featuring the thrilling Top Doorslammer family feud showdown between prominent drag racing competitors.
The indoor car display, previously housed at Blatherskite Park, will now be relocated to Lasseters Centre of Entertainment, providing a captivating showcase under bright lights. The outdoor precinct will buzz with activity, including drag car demonstrations, music, and the popular Mulletfest.
Spectators can enjoy reduced ticket prices, starting from $7.50 per day for early bird bookings, with special rates for entry packages that include access for you, your vehicle, and a friend.
