Damien Harris set a new Australian Top Fuel speed record, while Morice McMillin broke the Nitro Funny Car speed record. The day was filled with thrilling races, including thirteen three-second passes and seven over 500kph.
In the Top Fuel category, Wayne Newby clinched victory in a tense final against Damien Harris, with Phil Lamattina also delivering strong performances. The XPRO Nitro Funny Car saw Morice McMillin dominating with record-breaking runs and a close win over teammate Josh Leahy.
The Top Doorslammer final witnessed a surprise victory by Rob Harrington over reigning champion Russell Taylor, marking a day of upsets and impressive performances. Pro Alcohol saw Cheyne Phillips claim victory on his 35th birthday, following in the footsteps of his drag racing legend father, Gary Phillips.
In Pro Stock, Aaron Tremayne secured a win after a close final against his brother Tyronne. Scott White triumphed in Pro Stock Motorcycle, while Kiwi Barry Plumpton emerged victorious in FuelTech Pro Mod. The event also celebrated the Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship winners, including Zayne Condello who won the Dennis Syrmis Award.
