The Sydney International EV Autoshow is set to make a grand return after a 12-year hiatus, focusing on electric vehicles this time around. Organized by Future Drive AutoShows, this three-day event is bringing together the largest-ever display of electric vehicles in Australia along with a lineup of industry experts, all under one roof.
For many Australians, attending a motor show used to be an annual tradition, offering families a chance to explore the latest cars and envision themselves behind the wheel. The Sydney International EV Autoshow is reviving this tradition, providing a platform for families to witness the evolution of the auto industry and the rise of electric vehicles.
From November 8–10, 2024, the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney will host this event, showcasing a wide range of electric vehicles catering to various lifestyles and budgets. With vehicles ranging from affordable options to luxury models, the show aims to underscore the electric future. Alongside battery electric vehicles, the display will feature plug-in hybrids, e-motorbikes, and charging solutions.
Leading manufacturers like Ford, Kia, Tesla, and Audi will be among those presenting their latest electric models at the show. Attendees can also expect to interact with exhibitors offering insights into buying and owning an electric vehicle, home charging solutions, financing options, and more.
The event is not just about showcasing the latest electric vehicles; it also aims to educate attendees on the EV landscape. Ray Evans, CEO of Future Drive AutoShows, emphasizes that the show provides a unique opportunity for visitors to explore a wide array of new car releases in one place, offering a glimpse into the future of mobility.
Test drives will be available for potential buyers to experience electric motoring firsthand before making a purchase. Brands like Tesla, GWM, and Peugeot will be offering test drives during the event, allowing attendees to get a feel for the performance and features of these electric vehicles.
In addition to the vehicle showcase, the Future Drive Stage will host daily live sessions led by industry experts. These sessions will cover various aspects of buying and owning an EV, including home charging, financing, government incentives, and future trends in the EV market.
One of the panel discussions, ‘EV Road-Trips,’ will provide insights into long-distance EV travel in Australia, addressing common concerns like range anxiety.
