Toyota has unveiled the 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition, marking the end of the fifth-generation model. While Toyota has released numerous special editions for their Gazoo Racing lineup, this Final Edition holds a unique significance as the ultimate sendoff for the iconic two-seater sports car.
Although the Final Edition retains the same power output from its turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, rated at 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, Toyota has introduced several performance enhancements to elevate the driving experience. The focus has been on improving traction through exclusive control mapping, reducing understeer, and enhancing the power steering system for a more direct feel.
The Final Edition boasts four-piston Brembo brakes, larger front discs, retuned suspension with updated camber settings, and electronic shock absorbers for enhanced cornering stability. Additionally, the aerodynamic enhancements such as the carbon rear spoiler and front wheel arch flaps contribute to improved performance on the track.
For enthusiasts seeking a more aggressive look, Toyota offers the GT4 style pack inspired by the GT4 EVO2 race variant. This pack includes unique side graphics, a matte carbon rear ducktail spoiler, special badging, and exclusive paint options. The cabin features red-stitched Alcantara upholstery, adding a touch of sportiness to the interior.
Performance-wise, the Final Edition shares similarities with the 3.0 and 3.0 Premium grades, offering a choice between a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. All models come equipped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and include a membership to the National Auto Sport Association for high-performance driving events.
The 2026 Toyota GR Supra is set to hit dealerships in the spring, with the GT4 style pack scheduled for release in the fall. Priced starting at $69,085, the Final Edition units symbolize the culmination of the GR Supra’s legacy as it prepares to make its exit from production next spring.
