Issue 10 - Jamboree Willowbank
For the turbo freaks the main event of the year in Queensland is Jamboree with people trekking from all over the globe to make it to the iconic event. Unfortunately the weather prediction for the intended event date was rain rain and more rain so promoter Ray Box made the call to postpone just days before the event was set to start. This shocked most people as the weather at the time was fine, however come race day it bucketed down with over four inches of rain hitting the track. A good decision indeed by Ray. The event was then rescheduled for the 1st and 2nd of October. Second time round was perfect warm Queensland weather both days with a bit of a breeze and an immaculately prepared track. What more could you ask for...with some of the tough cars breaking diffs not expecting the track to be so tight. But that's all in the name of racing. -
Issue 4 - David Dalton Torana & Mark Gibbins' V8 Hilux
When it comes to building cars, it’s always a lot more enjoyable when you’ve got someone there with you. Father-son projects aren’t unheard of and are a great way to bond. This son and step-father team has done it a little different by building their own projects at the same time while helping each other. Mark is David’s step dad and owns the red Hilux and David is obviously the owner of the green LJ Torana. Now we do see a fair few Torana’s around the scene and they all bring many different cool factors to the modified car party. David Dalton’s LJ sedan is as cool as they come and isn’t a bad car to be driving for a bloke of his age. There is the fact that he is on his P’s so having a cool car is one thing but being able to make it legal to please the boys in blue is the main factor in this build. -

Issue 4 - Stadium Drift Grand Final 2010
The sixth and final round of Raceline Events' Stadium Drift series came to the Gold Coast Parklands on November 13th and 14th. After seven hours of practice on the Saturday, racing on Sunday began with drivers already pushing the limits of the track. Street, L2 and Pro classes all raced at the event, and brought with them some vivid illustrations that the Pro competition is going to be even more fierce next year as L2 drivers fight to make their way up the chain. Conditions were good, practice day bringing clear skies and finals day being threatened with looming storm clouds, which kindly held off long enough for the event to finish. In typical Queensland summer style the sun was blistering, but it did not discourage the crowd.
